Most would not be surprised to learn that more than half the world's top 50 restaurants work in a soft French cuisine. Being one of the most popular cooking "style" in the world of French cuisine can be found all over the world. So it's no surprise. It is surprising to learn, however, that only a handful of these restaurants are actually located in France. Behind El Bulli (# 1), Pierre Gagnaire (# 3), and a bra (# 7), L'Astrance is the fourth highest ranked restaurant in France, the list at # 11 in the world. With classic French cuisine served by chef Pascal Barbot L'Astrance continues to climb the ranks in popularity.

Barbot L'Astrance opened in 2000 and since then has been making waves around the world. With its small and formal dining room tucked away on a quiet street in Paris, L'Astrance modest total of paradox in the outer shell to inner beauty.
